After the resounding success of #RAMADANinLA these past two years, LA County’s Human Relations Commission, LA Commons and #RAMADANinLA producers, Marium Mohiuddin and Howard Seth Cohen, are excited to announce that #RAMADANinLA is returning this year all month long through a digital storytelling campaign.
We are excited to present a multi-tiered platform for Angelinos to explore the many facets of Islam and deepen their collective understanding of the Muslim members of our community. In keeping with our mission, this year we will continue to use storytelling to bridge Los Angeles’ diverse communities, with a focus on arts, poetry, music, food, and celebration.

LA Commons
LA Commons, a project of Community Partners, works in neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles, facilitating artistic processes, open to all, that result in highly visible public art projects that tell dynamic neighborhood stories. L.A. Commons builds community by validating the importance of local narratives, enhancing the sense of belonging felt by a broad range of stakeholders and encouraging stronger ties between the people and places of Los Angeles.
LA County
Human relations
commission
The LA County Human Relations Commission is dedicated to promoting positive race & human relations in an increasingly complex and multicultural county. The Commission works to develop programs that proactively address racism, homophobia, religious prejudice, linguistic bias, anti-immigrant sentiment, and other divisive attitudes that can lead to inter-cultural tension, hate crimes and related violence.
